"In August, the downtime banter in Major League clubhouses often veers to football.

Seeing teammate Vance Wilson late last week in a visitor's clubhouse in Chicago, Tigers first baseman Sean Casey gave him a hearty "Roll Tide" greeting.

Wilson, picking up on Casey's confusion, played along with his new teammate's line of conversation and lamented a hole at running back.

Casey tried to console him by telling him the Tide has plenty of depth at the position. Only at that point did Wilson smile and remind the new guy in the clubhouse that he's an Arkansas fan and that closer Todd Jones is the Tigers' big Alabama fan."
